Lower Secondary Science

Outstanding education

Milverton’s Science department ignites students’ curiosity about the world around them.

The curriculum covers six key areas:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Earth and Space
  • Thinking and Working Scientifically
  • Science in Context

Thinking and working scientifically is embedded across all six areas. The importance of science within society is constantly highlighted and students are encouraged to extend their learning beyond the classroom

A combined science course.

Our specialist science teachers follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science Curriculum which allows for clear progression throughout Key Stage 3.
